The Opium Collection is built of the beautiful hand carvings that once adorned 'Opium Beds' used in the homes of Chinas scholars and Imperial families.  As China races to modernize they are leaving behind the beautifully carved beds. The carvings, carved over 200 years ago, have been reworked into benches, console tables, and large buffets.
